How a US Supreme court decision in 2024 can be used to remove Regulatory Capture. The landmark Loper Bright v Raimondo ruling overturned the 1984 “Chevron” ruling.
The Chevron decision gave government agencies authority to create and enforce regulations without Congressional oversight and said that courts must defer to the agencies’ decisions. The Loper decision stripped agencies of that power and said that courts must do their own due diligence in arriving at a ruling instead of siding with the agencies by default.
